Dr. Agarwal has over 40 years of professional, academic, and administrative experience in post graduate teaching hospitals, medical units and Indian Army formations. His last appointment in the Armed Forces was Commandant of Command Hospital (Air Force), Bangalore. He has extensive experience in joint replacement, arthroscopy, trauma management, and the distinction of treating more than 3000 battle casualties in counter insurgency areas of J&K. Air Marshal Agarwal is a highly decorated officer and has been awarded with six commendations by the Chief and Commander-in-Chief. He has also been presented with the President’s Medal and Award (Vishisht Seva Medal) by the President of India on January 26, 2014, for his lifetime academic and administrative achievements. Post his career in defence services, he has worked with Motherhood India as Group Director – Medical Operations, and with Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences & Research as Professor & HOD in the Department of Orthopaedics, and Director at College of Physiotherapy and Head of Quality Control.

Dr. Agarwal has an MBBS from SS Medical College, Rewa (MP), an MS (General Surgery), MS (Orthopaedics) from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. He has also done his PGDM (HR) from Alliance University, Bangalore.
