S Vaitheeswaran is the driving force behind Manipal Global Education Services' aggressive new initiatives worldwide.
Responsible for identifying and building future growth engines, including new campuses, investments and acquisitions. He has launched major initiatives to expand Manipal Global's footprint in ASEAN countries with Malaysia as the hub, and in Middle East and Africa with Dubai as the hub. He has also ramped up the company's corporate training programs especially in the Banking and Finance sector, making Manipal Global one of the largest training providers to the public sector and private banks.
A firm believer in a technology-driven future, Vaithee has taken several steps to ensure a sharp focus on high quality delivery and processes. These include seamless digital presence, and the award-winning EduNxt, a next generation interactive learning system designed to transform the way a student learns.
He has launched several HR initiatives to inculcate a high performance culture across the organisation. He has also initiated financial restructuring of the organisation.
Vaithee has more than 30 years of rich corporate experience, spanning from sales and marketing, supply chain management, operations, to global marketing.
Before he joined Manipal Global, Vaithee led the Hi-Tech and Manufacturing Vertical of Infosys’ BPO Unit and also the India Business vertical.
Prior to that, he had a long stint as Director – Sales & Marketing and COO at Eicher International.
A member of the CII- CEO forum, Vaithee is an active speaker and participant in the Higher Education panel of CII. He is also on the management committee of the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and a member of the Karnataka CII State Council. He has authored several White Papers on outsourcing, and on India as an investment destination.
His years of experience in the corporate world bring the much-needed industry-academia connect.
Widely travelled, Vaithee holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management from the Institute of Materials Management and an engineering degree from the University of Madras.
